D1265 Gracious Greetings and D1436 The Present

Decided to make a few simple cards today, have some birthdays coming up in August and want to be ready. I have been wanting a way to store my sponge daubers and sponges but didn't want to just throw them in basket and have to dig when I needed them so I went to Joanns yesterday and found this thread holder, and it works great, I can put the sponge and the same color dauber on the same stick. I use the binder clips to hold my sponges that I don't get so much ink on my fingers.

These cards are simple to make, I pulled out my Cricut and Storybook cart. to cut the shapes. All supplies are CTMH, except the little pearl colored stones, and I used my Glue Glider Pro adhesive.

Just a few pictures

Okay, so I have to show off a couple of new pictures of Hunter, he is getting so big, he is now 7 months old and I got o keep him monday nite and tuesday, well he decided to let me know that he can now pull himself up on things, which made for an interesting day (I had a blast with him) can't wait to keep him again. This first picture is after he had pulled up to look out the window, he got tickled watching the hummingbirds on their feeder.

Next he found grand daddy's bobcat and decided he would play with the kitty, but found that the fake moss was much more fun,

You know how sometimes you have something that you really look forward to, well for me that is my birthday, not because of the reasons you may think but because it falls during blackberry pickin season, (the first week or 2 of july), well one of my coworkers MJ makes some of the best blackberry cobbler you ever want to taste, she makes one pan for everyone in the clinic but then she makes a small one just for me as my birthday present, well, guess what I got today, so I just had to take a picture and share with you all. MJ thank you.

This last picture is of some of the goodies that we recieved at convention, the new ink pads are from the new color palette for summer. The stamp sets at the front were for convention goers only, using the picture this theme, and the other images from conventions.

wooden letters

This is my second post for the day, I finally picked up some mod podge so that I could get the wooden letters on my wall covered with paper. I had my paper picked out and when I was going to work on them no mod podge. I think they came out kind of cute. Hope you like them.

I watched Karlee's video over at Karleekrafts to make sure I got the mod podge part right, (Thanks Karlee)
After I punched out the dragonflies twice, I used glue pen to put them together and then I put Crystal stickles on them to give them a shine, I put on a small amount and spread it with my finger, used 3-d foam tape to place them on letters. The butterflies were stamped with Versamark and then embossed with Lilac mist embossing powder, I cut them out and used 3-D foam on back of them.
These turned out to be alot of fun to do.

Products used are all Close to my Heart unless noted.

Convention art work pictures

These are just a few pictures of the wonderful art work I saw while at convention, I did not get the names of the ladies that created all of these but to all of them I say "what a wonderful job".
I took over 45 pictures of artwork but I am only posting a few, choosing which ones to post was the hardest. There was so talent in these rooms, I really enjoyed all of the artwork.

Pictures from convention

These pictures are in no order but I will have some in order on my next post, still tryin to get them all straight, but I wanted to share a few with you.
This first one is closing nite dinner, from left top Inga, Stacey, myself and Fran. Ladies I had a wonderful time.

This was getting ready to go in for general session on Sat. am.

They decorated the stairs leading up to the second floor so Fran and I took our pictures here

This is also at closing dinner Sat nite, this gentleman named Michael came out and started to just slap paint up on this black canvas and this is how it ended, a beauitful painting of Jeanette.

This is some of the art work that we saw, there was so much, just beauitful cards, layouts, 3-D things. I will post more of the art work that I saw on the next post.

This paper rose was done by Bren, and I have many more pictures of her paper roses, she does such a wonderful job. she does have a vedio on youtube that I will find and post a link to.

This is the back of the Gaylord, I was standing on the dock when I took this one.

So this is all I have right now, I have baby Hunter here and he wants to play with he keyboard so I will be back in a little bit and post more pictures. Thanks for stopping by.

My Scrapbook rm

I have moving things around in my scrapbook rm and decided that since it was looking okay I would post pictures but first I have to show what I did to my laptop. CTMH convention is this week and I get to go, so I thought I would use my cricut and the provo craft vinyl and dress it up. What do you think?

Okay so here are the pictures of the rm, 1st pic is standing at the door way, I had a couple of the white boxes, the ones with my CTMH cs I have had a while. Thanks Dawn for 4 more of the 4 shelf ones that are now in the corner by the desk. I put my notebooks and some reference books in these.

This is where I keep all of my CTMH Acylix stamp sets and Cricut stuff,

work table, my CTMH inks are always within reach, the pamperchef wheel holds my coloring pencils, scissors, Glue Glider pro.

the little island hold my MM paper cutter and has a couple of shelves for when I need them, the white blocks have lots of different stuff in drawers, 1 holds all the bind it all stuff, 1 has all my punches, Chalks and applicators are in one. I can't find my Modge Podge, so I am going to have to pick up some more so that I can cover my CTMH letters on the wall. also on top of the blocks I have some cards that either I have done or some that were sent to me. I like havin them out.

this is on the right side of the desk, Calvin put peg boards on the wall for me so that I could hang things up and boy did I put them to use, alot of what is up here is stuff for his hunting and fishing albums.

This is my other work table where I do alot of my heat embossing and if I am using glitter I will work on this table so that it doesn't get into everything. The second part of the peg board, this also holds just different little things. The basket on the right side of the table has all of my current card creations in it.

under the work table I have a 3 drawer thing that it the top drawer paper things to be altered.
second drawer holds glue glider refills. (need to place an order soon) and the bottom drawer holds glue pens and refills for the Xyron 2", the office depot here had them and was closing them out so I got a bunch for 1.00 apiece.

Okay so I had to throw in a couple of cards, these first ones are kitten cards I made for Ginger using Cricut Create-a-Critter, all cardstock is Close to my Heart.

This little guy is also from the Cricut Create-a-Critter, he was fun to make. papers are CTMH Twitterpated level 2
