A Few new cards

Just wanted to post these few new cards I made recently, this is just a quick little post, hope you like these. March is Social worker month and we have three in the clinic, so I made them quick cards just to say thank you for all their hard work.

Something totally new for me.

I have been looking at alot of Art Jounals and decided I wanted to make one, the pictures you see here are just the background pages, I did not post all of the pgs I have done, just a few. The first picture is of my cover, I haven't finnished it just yet, I will post later when I do. I used purples and wheat colors, if you look close yu can see the shapes of flowers and dragonflies under everything. I coated the top with Goldens light molding paste and chopped and smoothed it to give it lots of diminson. All of my pages were prepared using Liquitex Gesso. I did this for fun and really I am having a blast doing it. There are alot of different medias on these pages, I will list at end of post. I hope you enjoy looking at these few pages.

CMS DT Under the Sea digis

Kathie, created some great under the sea images for Copic Marker Scrapbooking this time and I had alot of fun coloring them, but decided not to make a card, instead I colored and then cut them out and created an underwater scene to put in a picture frame to hang up. I was in the mood to just do something different and I like how it turned out. I pop dotted the mermaid, fish, and one of the seahorses, I used a wide copic marker to make my ocean, and lots of different colors for the sand. Card word puzzle C1494

I adore alot of the new stamp sets in the new 2012 CTMH Spring/Summer Idea book but I think the one that is going to be a favorite is C1494 Card word puzzle, you can make dozens of sayings from just this one stamp set, it also has this great flower on it, I used it to make these first 2 cards. You can stamp the flower like I did but it is great for coloring with pencils or markers too.

This next picture is altered clothespins that I made for Lori, hope she likes them, I got this idea from Nona Davenport. I covered the clothespins with lucy papers and cut 1" roses from the art philsophy cart, the small roses are harder to roll lol, I added a piece of hemp so that she culd use this to either hold pictures or cards.

This next photo is my new homemade light box, got to love youtube, I found a video on there by a guy who showed how to make your own light box, and I had everything on hand so I made me one, I used a CTMH box, tissue paper and tape thats it plus something to cut box with, I got the white posterboard from michaels, this took no time to make, I have the lights for it, I just need to get better bulbs.
