I adore alot of the new stamp sets in the new 2012 CTMH Spring/Summer Idea book but I think the one that is going to be a favorite is C1494 Card word puzzle, you can make dozens of sayings from just this one stamp set, it also has this great flower on it, I used it to make these first 2 cards. You can stamp the flower like I did but it is great for coloring with pencils or markers too.

This next picture is altered clothespins that I made for Lori, hope she likes them, I got this idea from Nona Davenport. I covered the clothespins with lucy papers and cut 1" roses from the art philsophy cart, the small roses are harder to roll lol, I added a piece of hemp so that she culd use this to either hold pictures or cards.

This next photo is my new homemade light box, got to love youtube, I found a video on there by a guy who showed how to make your own light box, and I had everything on hand so I made me one, I used a CTMH box, tissue paper and tape thats it plus something to cut box with, I got the white posterboard from michaels, this took no time to make, I have the lights for it, I just need to get better bulbs.

A Bowwow, sneak peek from new 2012 Spring/Summer Idea Book

When I was going though the new idea book on pg 83, I came across this cute little stamp called A Bowwow and just knew I had to recreate the card that I had seen in the idea book, I made a couple of changes to mine, but used the same colors and design, this is the cutest stamp. On my card I used faux stitching, and used the NEW ADHESIVE SPRINGS to give him movement, I was so excited to see these in the new idea book, I had alot of fun playing with this card after I had put it together. I hope you like it.

Desk top Display Album Calendar

Next Saturday will be our first workshop of the new year so we will be making these cute little calendars using CTMH My Creations display albums. I want to thank Danica over at the CTMH BB for the template for this. I had some Passages level 2 paper hanging around so I decided to use it for my calendar, these calendars will have pictures on them, I didn't put pictures on this one because am thinking of giving it to someone. I have also discovered that I am a little bit of a paper hoarder so I need to use some of my older papers to get ready for the new papers from the new 2012 Spring/Summer Idea book. I have the new Idea books in and will start mailing them out next week, they go live Feb 1, 2012, those attending the workshop next Saturday will get theirs while there. Chalkboard and a few things.

When we recieved our new Spring/Summer Idea books there was some pieces of card board that had the center cut out, in the box, I didn't throw them away, I decided I would do something with them and I came up with this little chalk board, I found some chalkboard paint at Michaels and I had some pieces of study card board hanging around so I painted the study piece with the chalkboard paint, its take 3 coats of paint, while that was drying I covered the other piece with my B & T Olivia paper, (what I have left of this paper is now put away for a bit), I pulled out the Art Philosphy cartridge to cut my letters 2.0", roses 2.25" & 3.0" and the little swirls around the roses 2.0". I used a white pen to put faux stitches on my letters. Once my chalkboard paint was dry I put my pieces together using liquid glass, I used my atg gun to hold till liquid glass was set. I hope you like.

Picture Holder with Rock the Block

I never did find that blog again where I saw the little picture holder so this is what I came up with, I hope you like it. This did not take very long to make, I covered all sides of the block with B&T paper, I then used one of our pin clips, pushed into the top, I didn't want it to slip into the box so I used liquid glass on it, I dipped the pin into the liquid glass before pushing it into the cube, I also placed a little around the hole after the pin was in. The dragonflies were cut from the AP cart at 2.25" and layered a couple of times just for some diminsion.

Here is what I did with mine, I really loved the Olivia papers and I had some extra so I used it to create my blocks. I had 2 blocks left over and I saw on a blog somewhere that the person had made a picture holder out of one of these blocks so I think I am gonna try that. My letters were cut at 2.25" flowers were cut at 3." and 2.50", dragonflies cut at 2.25" and 1.50". I wish my pictures would have came out a little better, but today seems to be my day for not getting along with the electronic things in my home, camera acting up and phone died, had to get new phone. Anyway I hope you like these little cubes of mine.

Telescoping cards

Someone had posted a card called a telescoping card on the CTMH boards and I thought it was really cute and decided I would try to make them, well I made four of them and had a blast, they don't take very long and are much simpler than they look. I hope you like how mine turned out. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut all of my circles and the scallop circles. I will list my sizes from biggest to smallest. the large scallop is cut at 4" the white dasiy for this one is 3 1/2", the middle layer is 3 1/4", white daisy is cut at 3", the smallest layer is 2 1/2, and the white daisy is 2 1/4". The scallop circle can be found on pg 31 in the AP cart book, the circle is pg 21 and the snowflake is found on pg 22.

Beginning to look like Christmas Design Team

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas over at Copic Marker Scrapbooking, they just came out with some cute Christmas digi stamps, and I had alot of fun coloring this little snowman and the candles, there are a few others too, I just haven't had a chance to color them yet, please slip over to www.copicmarkerscrapbooking.wordpress.com and take a look at the beautiful work the design team ladies did. I really love working with these ladies, their coloring is gorgeous. Vendor Fair Dec.3, 2011

I did a vendor fair Saturday at the Ruckersville Elem school, it turned out to be alot of fun. I met some really nice people. Here are some of the items I made to take with me. This has been a really long week, thankfully I had alot of this done before Monday, as things started to get a little off balance.
All of my coloring is done using the Close to my Heart markers

These are treat bags from the Art Philosophy cartridge cut at 5 1/2", they are filled with the little starlight mints.

These next items are peppermint patties covered with cardstock, I used the 2" scallop punch to cut the bases and then used the Art philosophy cart to cut 1 3/4" circles.

This is another treat box using the art philosophy cart, it cuts the french fry boxes, I put holiday life savers in these. These were cut at 8 1/2"

and of course I had to do a display board the new AP cartridge, wanted to show everything you could get from just one button on the key pad.

and this last little goodie was my give aways for free, I cut these fry boxes at 4" (I think thats right) and place a 1" stamp in them. I didn't have many left when I got back home.

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, been just a little busy, I am now back on track and will be posting more often. I am excited about Tuesday's up coming workshop we will be using the Believe Wotg kit and a few added stamp sets, at this workshop memebers will learn to use our CTMH inks and the waterbrush to color in images, this is going to be fun. This little tag was made using the AP cart and Dimensional elements, the paper and ribbon were white before I sprayed it with some of the new little misters I found called Fireworks, I don't know if you can see it well in the picture but the Fireworks leaves a sparkly shimmery shine, it really is cute, I made this tag with my favorite quote stamped on it to go in the smash book I made awhile back. I sprayed two colors on the tag, dandelion and bamboo leaves.

Spooky Fun Design team cards

These are my cards for the design team, I had a blast coloring them, I am tryin to get better at using the greys to get a black look without using the black because I want the layers and highlights. Poinsettia cards made with Art Philosophy cart

I have seen so many wonderful cards using the Art Philosophy cartridge and making poinsettas with the flowers on pg 39 of the handbk, that I had to try them, so these are my versions. I hope you like them, I cut the first two flowers in cranberry cs at 3" and then 1 at 1 1/2", I then cut the small green center at 3/4, leaves were cut at 1 1/2. I used my stylus to emboss the flowers and leaves to give them texture, I then sanded the embossing on the flowers just to highlight them, I am not sure if it shows but I edged the flowers using my At You Spica clear pen to give a little glitter look, centers are done with Lemon flower soft. The ovals on the first card were cut at 2" and 1 3/4, the second card ovals were cut at 1 1/2 and 1 1/4.

Dragonfly and D1187

I went to the Hampton Stamp/Scrap Art show Saturday with Eleanor, Sonnie and Barbara while I was there I came across a booth called Sweet Stamps and they had a card that I fell in love with because I just love dragonflies, their card was made using a Cheery Lynn Designs die, I didn't own any of these until I saw their card and had to get it. I ended up spending most of my money at the Hampton show, there was so much to see and learn. We ladies had a great time Saturday, after we left Hampton they took me to a little scrapbook store in Williamsburg, it was a nice place, after we left there we hit the Walmart, I just wanted to stop by and see maybe if they had the Cricut catrtridge "Love you a Latte" that I have been wanting but couldn't not find, well I was so excited because they had just one left and it came home with me, I have been wanting this one for awhile. I will be posting a few cards later using this.

I had to play some today, so I pulled out my new little dragonfly die, and decided to try to make a card like the one I had seen. This dragonfly is cut out twice once in black then again on vanilla cream cs, take the black dragonfly and place where the vc one came out, turn over and place scor-tape over wings, now here is where it starts to get fun, you take and turn the card back over, take prisma glitter and rub into wings so it adhears to wings on front, then turn card back over and remove the paper from the scor-tape and place vellum onto wings and then add color to the vellum from back, this gives the wings colors and it looks almost like stained glass. I used Copics to color. I may have to try to do a little video to explain this better.

So this is a close up of my little dragonfly and you can see the two different shades of color that I used.

Mischief, and Paper doll dress up Cricut cartridge

After I finished cleaning my scrapbook room today I decided to mess it up again, the desk looked to clean and neat, needed to make a few cards, I made one for a wedding for someone and then I just had to pull out the paper doll dress up cricut cartridge to make a thank you card for Shaun, he had an extra ticket for the show WICKED, now I have never seen a live broadway musical in my life, I enjoyed this so much, I loved the music, the show, the cast, mainly I had a blast, so of course my thank you card had to be a witch and black and green. I am not including my cut sizes this time only because I forgot to write them down. I hope you like my little green witch.

D1283 Say it in Style and create a critter

Just a quick little card this evening, I wanted to play with the Create a Critter cartridge so I decided maybe to start thinking of Christmas cards since it will be here before we know it, I cut out this little reindeer at 3" and the trees were cut at 2 1/2 and 2". I think the say it in style stamp set is one of my favorites for sentiments I seem to reach for it alot. I also used glitz glitter along the edge of the blue just to bling it up some, but not to much. I hope you like this quick little card.

A little gift for me that made my day.

When I got home today I found a small package in the mailbox from Anne-Marie, well I couldn't wait to open it, a while back I had sent her some stamped images of the tiny CTMH Sticky boy and had been waiting to see what she had created with the images, well I was tickled, she had taken these little sticky boys and made magnets, I love them, and she used some of my favorite CTMH colors to color them with. I just had to email her to say thank you and to make sure it was okay for me to share a picture of them with you.
I hope you like them as much as I do.

Art Philosophy, Roxie and cupcakes

So this morning I decided to play with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and I had found some old cardstock that is not good for scrapping or making cards so I decided to make some card size templates for myself. I cut some different card shapes at 4 3/4 and 5 1/4 to see exactly how big or small they are. I also cut out the 2 envelopes tht are on the cartridge, I did these at fit to page so that I would get the biggest size. I wrote on each template the size of card and which envelope they would fit into ( envelope 1, envelope 2, or a standard 4 3/8 x 5 3/4), also noted the page # the card could be found on in the Art Philosophy handbook. These first 2 pictue are of my templates, and since I had the Art Philosophy cart out well I had to make some cards.

These first 2 have no sentiment on them because I am not sure yet if want to use for thinking of you or whatever. The cards were cut at 4 3/4 base and layers were cut at 4 1/2, 4, 2 1/2, 2 1/4, 2, 1 3/4, the little dragonflies were cut at 1 3/4. I used stickles on the dagonflies bodies just for a little bling. The envelopes were cut at 5 1/4 which is the fit to page size. hope you like them.

These next 2 are also using the AP cart, but with 2 different looks, on the first card, the one on the left, I used the stamp set that comes with the AP cart, the cupcakes were cut at 2 1/2 which is the recommended size listed on the stamp sheet, the one on the right the cupcake is cut at 3 1/2, I used brads to make sprinkles in the icing. The happy birthday is from the AP stamp set. I had no chocolate sparkles so I used a Copic marker to color some clear ones.

Mischief WS Card

Mischief WOTG treat holders

I was playing with the papers from the Mischief WOTG kit and I had watched a video earlier on making candy bar sliders and decided to give them a try, these are fun to make and don't take long, the ribbon holds the candy bar in the sleeve and you use it to pull the bar out. I think we will be making these at the September workshop class.

Bundled buddies and Gnome garden

I have been doing a little crafting this weekend, this first one is a card from the Bundled Buddies My Acrylix stamp set from CTMH, this is the cutest stamp set, I couldn't wait to get it to play with. The white daisy cs is textured (now retired) I tore it in to try to make it look like drifted snow. I then edged it with stickles. All of my little critters were colored with coloring pencils and gamsol.

As you know several months ago our CMS artist Guy was diagnosed with cancer of the tonsil, stage 4. He has undergone surgry to remove the tumor, and he has just completed some chemo and radiation theraphy. Guy is feeling pretty crummy as he recovers from his chemo, he is unable to work at this time. We have done fundraisers to help him cover his expenses.

Art Philosophy Cart, card and a few boxes

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend, I did and now ready for Monday, Tammy and I went to Scottsville on Saturday to the Charmed Butterfly to see Robin Hoffman and got a Caricature done. I will post that picture later, it came out real cute I think. So I really love the CTMH Art Philosophy catridge, I pulled it out again today to make a birthday card for my mother-in-law, I have one of the best mother-in-laws, I used the card from page 26, and cut it at 5 3/4", this made the window in the middle perfect size to see the happy birthday stamped inside though it, the flower is cut at 4" and is from page 68, I filled the middle of the flower with stickles diamond. Hope you like it.

This next picture is from where I just sat here and cut all the box shapes out, these are unfinished boxes, just wanted to show you all the different ones you get from the Art Philosophy cartridge, this cartridge has so many different images on it, I can't wait till I have tried them all. Also as I was cutting the boxes I also cut flowers and some cards out, I will most likely post these tomorrow. The papers I used for these were some I had just hanging around.

Art Philosophy flowers and some Scrapbook pgs

I was going to see Eleanor and Sonnie yesterday and wanted to take them a little something including the new Idea Book so I sat down Friday nite and worked on some of the flowers from the new CTMH Art Philosophy cart, these flowers are so easy to make. I also used the cart to make little gift bags to put these in and made them a little french fry holder to put a gift card in, just was in a hurry yesterday and forgot to take pictures of them, so I will make more and post later. So I hope you like these.
These first flowers were cut at 3" and 3 1/4"

This second set I cut in white daisy and sponged the edges with smoothie ink. These were cut at 3 1/4"

and I don't know why this one came out blurry. These were cut at 3"

Altered Clock using Art Philosophy cartridge

I have been wanting a clock for my scrapbook room but I couldn't find one that I liked and that had dragonflies on it, well while at walmart today I picked up a plain clock for about $4.00 and decided that I would do my thing to it. I really like the dragonfly that is on the new CTMH Art Philosophy cart so I figured it would be perfect for what I wanted to do. I hope you like it. Some of the numbers may look a little crooked but I did this as part of the design that I wanted, I didn't want the numbers perfect.

Art Philosophy Cartridge and Mayberry papers

I was so happy when I got home today and found my order with my new CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge here, so after doing everything around here that I had to do I sat down and made a simple little card using Art Philosophy and Mayberry papers. I am listing my cut sizes and pg #'s for the cricut cuts.
The flowers were cut at 1 1/2" and 2" and are on pg 29, the flowers stems were cut at 3" and are on pg 57,
Tag was cut at 1" and 1 /2". The smallest flower was popped up.

Smash book

Over the weekend I saw on my friend Beki's facebook page a youtube video by Jenn on making a smash book, and it looked like alot of fun so I decided to try it and since this was the first and was gonna be for me I pulled out some of my favorite papers that I had put off using because I didn't want to cut it, you know that paper that you are saving for just the right occasion. I made a couple of mistakes, mostly with my Bind-it-all but they are things I can hide from myself and the whole book makes me happy. I love dragonflies, so any paper I had with them is in here. These are all kinds of paper, not sure who makes some of them, I did 5 sections in mine, Quotes, sketched, notes, copic drawing and stamping, and random & saved things. I hope you all like this, this is how I spent my Sunday. I did some clear pockets and some envelopes also to hold stuff and there are some pockets also.

I did these two cards using the May stamp of the month Chairs to You, I wasn't sure about this stamp when I first recieved it or how I was going to use it, but I like how these cards turned out, hope you like them too, thanks to ladies at CTMH for inspiration.

The second card here has thinking of you on the inside. I stamped the chair on a piece of B&T paper from the sophia kit and cut out the chair. I placed small gold pearls to look like buttons on the chair.

So I am one of those people who when I want to stamp and color I usually use white cardstock to stamp and color well today I decided to try stamping on CTMH's new Kraft cs and then coloring, so I pulled out my neglected Prismacolor coloring pencils and had some fun. I hope you like this card.

We Love Guy Gondron (fundraiser)

If you’re a member of the CMS community, there’s no need to explain who Guy is. If you casually collect our freebies, allow me to explain. Guy is our very talented resident artist. You can check out his work at protoguy.org, or his blog at Work in Progress. He has drawn most of our amazing digital stamps. (I’m to blame for the less than awesome ones.) Guy has been my best friend for the past ten years. He is without a doubt the nicest, most talented person I know. God broke the mold with him. Guy is having a rough time now. He was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. You can read about it in greater depth on his blog if you like, he’s keeping a fantastic journal there. Sophia WOTG kit

So this first picture is not a Sophia layout, it is Hunter who found out for the first time Sunday that the birdbath had water in it, he had a ball playing in it, by the time he was done there was no water in the birdbath, he was wearing it all. I will be scrapbooking these pictures in a few days.

These next pictures are from the Sophia WOTG kit that we are using at the April card workshop, I used the papers to do 8x8 pages for a small scrapbook that someone wants to give as a present. Happy Camper C1457

So I had my stitchs removed on Thursday and did the Lucky workshop on Friday nite, it was alot of fun, my hand was still sore, but that was okay. Today was the first time that I had some time to sit down to stamp and color, so I pulled out the new C1457 Happy Camper My Acylix stamp and got to work. I stamped a bunch of these guys on Xpress It paper and after I colored them with Copic markers, I cut them out. The grass in background was done with copic markers. I adheared everything to our new Kraft CS, was excited when I saw that we now carry Kraft Cs, I used 3-D foam tape on the bear. I hope you like it. It looks much brighter in person, this is the first time I have used my scanner on the new printer.

Diaper cakes and more

My hand still has stitches in it so I can not color or stamp yet, just a couple more days and hello stamps and Copics. I have a baby shower coming up soon for a couple of ladies at work, one is having a boy and the other a girl, so I wanted to try to do diaper cakes and after watching some videos on youtube.com I decided to try my hand at it, I like the way they came, I hope you do.

The diapers, toys, socks, 1" ribbon came from Walmart

Just a quick note to say hello and I will be back to crafting in one more week.
The stitches in my hand come out on March 3rd and I can't wait, I didn't relize how much I was gonna miss my working with my CTMH stamps and papers and coloring with my Copics.
I am not allowed to bend my wrist till after stitches come out and that is a really hard thing not to do so I wear my brace alot.

The scrapbook club meets on March 3rd.

Our card workshop will be meeting on April 8th so if you are interested just shoot me an email and I will get all the information to you. We still have a few openings.

just a note

I don't have any pictures to add just yet, I only got one or two things done in my crafting rm before getting things ready fo my second surgery.
I had my surgery on my right hand yesterday, Thank you to Dr. Nielsen over Charlottesville Orthopaedic center, hopefully this will work as good as the surgery on my left hand.
When the stitches come out I can go back to crafting, cutting, coloring with no pain, the carpal tunnel had gotton really painful and I am exicted the surgery is done, but for right now I can't use the right hand, which means no crafting for a bit.

Wings WOTG cards

organizing my CTMH My Acrylix stamps

So I have alot more CTMH stamps than what I thought, the one thing I didn't do was count them but I have them all organized but when looking for a sentiment the other day I could not remember what set it was on, so I decided Friday it was time to put them in a system where I could find things a little faster, so I gathered old idea books (I have a ton) and started cutting out pictures of the sets I had, some that I have are not in books so for those I made copies on the copier, then I got two notebooks and have spent the weekend organizing them. I just now need to decorate the front of the notebooks. I glued all the pictures to card stock, and the ones I ran though the copier I also put on cs. I just used some of the GP cs from walmart since I was using so much. these note books are 2" and I filled one and a half, I really didn't realize how many sets I had.

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends.

Just a little update, I had my surgery on the 22 of Dec and my hand is doing well, I am hoping I will be back to creating in a few days. I will have stitches in till the 6th of Jan when I go back.
There was some pain the day it was done but that is gotton lot better, I just have to be a little careful in what, or how I do something for right now, but I am doing my Christmas cooking and that makes me very happy. I will get my right hand done sometime after the first of the yr.

I know it has been a little bit since my last post, just been a little busy, and my uncle passed away. But I have a few things to share today, the first is baby Hunter's birthday card, he turned 1 this month and he loves monkeys so I had to do a monkey birthday card. Meagan has been letting me watch him on the weekend while she works and I have been having a ball keeping him. My first Carpal tunnel surgery is this coming week and I am starting to get a little nervous, will be glad when its done, the second hand won't be till after the first of the yr. Sorry I haven't posted recently, I have had a little carpal tunnel that has been acting up, but that will be taken care of soon, my doctor is going to do surgery starting with the left on Dec.22, 2010 then I think its about 6wks before he will do the right. Save the Date and Pumpkin layout

I made this save the date card for Tori who is gettin married next yr. I used a piece of white cs to cover her informaton with. the ribbon for some reason looks loose in this picture but in person it is laying flat. I am Copic Certified!!!
I was in Richmond on Monday for my Copic certification class, if you ever get the chance to take this class with Colleen Schaan do it, she is a wonderful teacher, she had Beate Johns with her because it was a big class and we learned so much, these 2 ladies were great. I really enjoyed doing this, now just have to practice more, met some great ladies, hey, Bev, Lorie, and Shirley. Tam was there she is certified too! They gave us great take home goodies, and the ideas were wonderful, watching Beate color while she was there was something, I want to color as good as she does and with practice I will get there. I got a few pictures that I will post later.

copic marker scrapbooking challenge and Olivia

So I have made this card for the Copic Marker Scrapbooking challenge, you had to use there digi stamp and make a fall card. I like the way this turned out. Love coloring with my copic markers. All paper is Close to my Heart. I cut out my image and used the 3-D foam to tape on it, to give it a little deminsion. I hope you like it.

Icopic challenge #6 and Ms. Chillin

It has been a long week I injured my foot and ankle on Tuesday morning and ended up in the ER and haven't been able to work this week, so last nite I pulled out this B1032 Fairy couple stamp set(retired) to play with , I had my some of my copics layin on the desk and just wanted to play. Okay so I now own a pink ATG gun, this is so cool, no I am not gettin rid of the glue glider pro, I just won't used so much. This Atg has 36yds instead of 40 ft, which means I will be crafting longer before refilling, the pink Atg is light even though it looks like it might be heavy, its not, and the tape just flows off so easy, Tam found a place to get these that they were cheaper so we got them, that girl can find the deals online, we had to decorate them, Tam blinged hers up yesterday, I had to figure which dragonlfies I was gonna put on mine. these are temp till i can get more vinyl to cut them out with my cricut.

Random stamping

Good evening everyone just a few new things to show you . I needed to make some Thank you cards and they had to have dragonflies on them, so I did some random stamping of dragonflies and then colored each one using copic markers. This is what the finnished page looked like before I cut it up.

This is just a close up of the dragonflies.

Next I used a stamp from the 2010 Convention set that looked like a water splash and made more B&T, I did this using White daisy but as you will see I also did color on color using dutch blue

I just random stamped the white daisy with a small flower stamp, I just can't remember which stamp set I pulled the little flower from, I had a bunch laying on the table.
